Yep - as I type this, it is 1 below zero in Louisville and even though we’re looking at a forecast of 13 degrees, it’s still on. While that other bike club in the city is canceling every ride they had scheduled over the last couple days, Fuck Gas stands strong. In all it’s glory, the Fuck Gas “We Don’t Give a Shit How Cold it is” Penguin Waddle will go down as planned. Meet up at On Your Left (618 Baxter Avenue) at 8pm to ride shortly after. Once back to the shop we’ll have free coffee and beer as well as screening of the Mash SF video.

Winter sucks - cold ass temperatures, grey skies and short days don’t exactly scream bike ride but what the hell do we care - we ride at night anyway and we own gloves and balaclavas! Come warm yourself up at On Your Left Cycles January 16th at 8pm for the Fuck Gas “We Don’t Give a Shit How Cold it is… Penguin Waddle.” We know you don’t want to be out there freezing your ass off for too long so seeing that January is the coldest month of the year on average here in Louisville, we’re making this one short.
Join us for an 8 mile loop starting and ending at On Your Left Cycles at 618 Baxter Avenue. You’ll also be able to enjoy some free hot coffee or even a cold beer - don’t be scared to bring your own though as the beer won’t last long. Finally, we’ll end the night with more freebies - a showing of the Mash SF video.
Support comes from Lattitude Zine, Shitluck Clothing, Liberty Tattoo & Art Parlor, On Your Left Cycles, Urban Velo.

December Ride Set

Saturday, December 20, 7pm
You can properly refer to this one as a Magnolia Meander. As we are making custom, we’ll have a grilling/potluck style start at On Your Left Cycles. This to make sure everyone has a warm place to meet up, listen to music, check out the latest from our newest addition to the family, Urban Velo and enjoy the company of your fellow riders as well as some food and drink.
Once we’re on the road, we’ll head down Baxter to Bardstown Road and onto Easteren Parkway. Make a run around the backside of Cherokee Park - avoiding the big hills this time, and out to Lexington Road. From there we’ll follow the Beargrass Creek bike trail and Louisville Bike Route through Butchertown and into downtown Louisville. Turning down 3rd Street at the river we’ll make our way into Old Louisville, have a quick lap of Central Park and end the ride at the Mag Bar. Another 10.3 miles of meandering fun brought to you by Fuck Gas, Lattitude Zine, Shitluck, Liberty Tattoo & Art Parlor, On Your Left Cycles & Urban Velo.

Hey kids, if you’re on the myspace hit us up and while you’re at it, check out our new friends Blaq Design. These guys are making some pretty kick ass looking bags as well as BMX frames and bars. I am fortunate enough to not be in need of a new bag at the moment but I do have to say I may be sending my business their way when the time comes. Maybe if I’m lucky they’ll just send one in for us to test out and review… hint, hint.

Looks like any rain we may get should be out of town by this afternoon and then we’re good for the weekend. It is supposed to be a bit cold tomorrow night so grab your coat and some gloves and don’t be scared to show up for the River Ramble (On Your Left Cycles - 618 Baxter). Remember there’s generally more than enough grillables so if you would like to bring a sort of side item… chips, salsa, beans, beer… nobody is going to complain and I bet you make a bunch of friends. See you there!

As always - riders on all types of bikes are encouraged to attend. We don’t care about the size of your wheels, how many gears you have or how fast you pedal.
