Winter sucks - cold ass temperatures, grey skies and short days don’t exactly scream bike ride but what the hell do we care - we ride at night anyway and we own gloves and balaclavas! Come warm yourself up at On Your Left Cycles January 16th at 8pm for the Fuck Gas “We Don’t Give a Shit How Cold it is… Penguin Waddle.” We know you don’t want to be out there freezing your ass off for too long so seeing that January is the coldest month of the year on average here in Louisville, we’re making this one short.

Join us for an 8 mile loop starting and ending at On Your Left Cycles at 618 Baxter Avenue. You’ll also be able to enjoy some free hot coffee or even a cold beer - don’t be scared to bring your own though as the beer won’t last long. Finally, we’ll end the night with more freebies - a showing of the Mash SF video.

Support comes from Lattitude Zine, Shitluck Clothing, Liberty Tattoo & Art Parlor, On Your Left Cycles, Urban Velo.

You can now check out the latest offering from Lattitude Zine and download additional issues here. Enjoy…

Lattitude Zine Issue #11 - November/December 2008

Contents: Contents: News & Info, Wasted Votes, Fuck Gas ride reports, Water as a Commodity, Ian Freeman, Inland Vans Berdoo, Democracy Sucks!

Saturday, December 20, 7pm

You can properly refer to this one as a Magnolia Meander. As we are making custom, we’ll have a grilling/potluck style start at On Your Left Cycles. This to make sure everyone has a warm place to meet up, listen to music, check out the latest from our newest addition to the family, Urban Velo and enjoy the company of your fellow riders as well as some food and drink.

Once we’re on the road, we’ll head down Baxter to Bardstown Road and onto Easteren Parkway. Make a run around the backside of Cherokee Park - avoiding the big hills this time, and out to Lexington Road. From there we’ll follow the Beargrass Creek bike trail and Louisville Bike Route through Butchertown and into downtown Louisville. Turning down 3rd Street at the river we’ll make our way into Old Louisville, have a quick lap of Central Park and end the ride at the Mag Bar. Another 10.3 miles of meandering fun brought to you by Fuck Gas, Lattitude Zine, Shitluck, Liberty Tattoo & Art Parlor, On Your Left Cycles & Urban Velo.

That picture there, it has nothing to do with anything relevant, but that’s what I got from google images by searching for chaos. I’ve got some ridiculous song about being hot and cold stuck in my head too and it’s driving me nuts and I don’t mean talking like a pirate with a steering wheel on my balls. At any rate, I’ve got too many pokers in the fire of whatever the hell that phrase is. Finishing up Lattitude 11, getting this site up to speed, updating the Shitluck site, redoing the Lattitude site, planning next months ride, getting art together for items related to all the above as well as trying to finalize some revenue generating details to help with all this and more… ah shit - it’s drivin’ me nuts! Not bitching… just saying if I drop the ball somewhere along the way, please forgive me, I’ll get it straight soon enough. Caffeine is a wonderful drug, alcohol not so much.

40 ounce fun run, 8/22/08

The 40oz Fun Run leaves from the lookout at the top of Iroquis Park at midnight, August 22 and heads down Southern Parkway to Second Street, over the Clark memorial Bridge then proceeds on the the Falls of the Ohio. From there, it’s up in the air. Should be a odd one - don’t be scared!
