So a while back I wrote about the BAUFL (Bikes Allowed Use of Full Lane) campaign. Well, December 15 they’re starting their Million Car Challenge. The idea is to put BAUFL bumper stickers on a million cars, in turn geting the message out to millions of drivers daily. A bit about the campaign from their site:

Everything has its beginning. For me it was sitting in my car, in traffic, reflecting on the mornings ride. I had been yelled at to get off the road, a drink thrown at me and missed by inches by another driver trying to “teach me a lesson”. “Get off the road” they say. Quite a lot to think about as I’m stuck in traffic reading window stickers and bumber stickers advertising everything from our president to Billy Bobs favorite motor oil.

Makes sense. So head on over to BAUFL.org and once the 15th rolls around, get a hold of those stickers!

BAUFL: Bicycles Allowed Use of Full Lane

This is a new national campaign being undertaken and is easily the most viable and intelligent use of space out there. I’ve never felt segregation was the answer and this is the idea we need to work on and get into every motorists head out there. There WILL be bikes on the road.

Stay up to date with the campaign progress by following their Twitter and it looks as if they have a website in the works. As Gary from BAUFL states, ride safe and clearly in the way.
