WFPL’s State of Affairs will be covering bicycling in Louisville on Monday, April 6 from 1 - 2 PM. Studio guests will include Joe Ward, a local cyclist and author, Dirk Gowin, head of Bike Louisville and Barry Zalph representing Bicycling for Louisville. The show is live and will be fielding phone calls from listeners so try and listen and phone in with your own comments at 502-814-8255.

Considering the guests, this show looks to be a Bike Summit redux… while I could play nice and give the ole’ “it’s good to hear bikes being discussed,” I’m not. I’m calling bullshit and pretty much just expect to hear about all the great things being done for recreational cycling and the nearly $2 million being spent on a bike station style facility - more bullshit. Again, all crap that doesn’t do jack for actual safety on the roads, but are touted as great improvements in infrastructure.
