Bike Courier’s Bike Shop has opened their second shop in town on Frankfort Ave (2132 Franfort Ave @ the rail road tracks), likely servicing people who would not read this site. However, there will be a grand opening this Saturday, November 1 where Jackie and hiw crew will be giving away a FREE BIKE! As well, Heine Brothers Coffee (the Starbucks of Louisville) will be on hand as will be Rianbow Blossom. Shop opens at 10 am, bike giveaway is at 4 pm. Party…

So Leland finally got with the program and decided he’s going to learn how to use his new computer… hopefully that means he won’t destroy this one. This is his first try at editing video and I have to say I like it. Good job boy, you make daddy proud.

The U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross rolls into Louisville this weekend at the old River Road Country Club at River Road and Zorn Avenue. You can come out and see racers from all over the world take on the infamous Green Monster as well as slide around in what apparently are “great” cyclocross conditions - cold, wet and muddy.

Shitluck has a new site up and running that has an easily updated blog for Leland’s sake, so be sure to check it out for the latest debauchery from Leland and the rest of the Shitluck crew. As well, they’ve got links to a couple online store to pick up their newest products from.

I got an email this morning with the “great” news that the cops have been patrolling the local parks handing out speeding tickets and/or arresting traffic violators. Great!

or not

I of course responded to said email to the effect that I was not understanding how cops fining and arresting drivers for victimless crimes was making anything safer. As well, it appears to be more of revenue generation for the city disguised as bike advocacy.

To top it all off, the email ended stating that cops would be roaming the city today citing any bike riders that weren’t obeying the “rules of the road” as they are called. Well, much to my dismay, the 3 cops I ran lights in front of on my ride home this afternoon didn’t get the memo cause I didn’t get stopped. Maybe next time.

Be careful, it’s a jungle out there.

When we say ramble we mean ride - fuck walking!

Here we go again…

The River Ramble will once again start from On Your Left Cycles (616 Baxter Ave) and proceed through downtown and onto the River Walk all the way out to Shawnee Park. If you thought Cherokee was dark, you ain’t seen nothin! …literally. Bring lights, maybe a helmet and definitely some food for your fellow riders - we’re all in this together!

Date: November 8, 2008

Grill & potluck: 7pm

Ride: 8ish

As always, all bikes are welcome regardless of wheel size and gear count

So I’m a fucking moron. Ocean is NOT playing in Bloomington - there is however a orchestra playing a show entitled “Ocean”

Sorry for the bad info - I’m dumb.

~ this or that ~

So Bloomington, IN, you are being blessed with two of the most awesome bands around right now in the same weekend. Friday, November 7 is O’death and Saturday, Novermber 8 brings Ocean. Either I’ve got an aweful choice to make or I have to figure out a way to spend the weekend in Bloomington.

Propaganda Art Show is happening at Skull Alley October 25. Gary & Suzanne will be there with with a limited run of Fuck Gas shirts as well as some kick ass art for sale. Don’t miss it!
